Lead Video Editor
Optix Digital Media is currently hiring an experienced Lead Video Editor to join our growing team. This is a new position that will collaborate with our Lead Video Producer to tell great stories through high-quality video content. In this position, you will be an integral member of our production team, responsible for taking the lead role in all video editing tasks and responsibilities.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience and be highly proficient in editorial and production workflow for online, social, and broadcast delivery. You will be working in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects at once and must be proficient in all aspects of post-production, including motion graphics and audio.
What you’ll do as our Lead Video Editor:
Utilize the Adobe Suite of tools to edit raw footage, audio, and graphic elements into engaging videos that tell great stories and appeal to the specified viewers for each project.
Prepare media files to be shared digitally for review and final distribution.
Manage media storage and retrieval; ensuring all digital files are saved and backed up correctly.
Provide on-location and studio production assistance as needed.
Research and suggest hardware solutions that would benefit the overall editing and video capture processes.

Proficient in key film techniques, including exposure, composition, focus, color grading, and graphic animations.
Good working knowledge of the terminology used in the video editing industry to communicate with team members, both internally & externally.
A passion for identifying high-quality music and the ability to mix this music into video projects.
Must demonstrate a strong attention to detail, accuracy, and impeccable grammar.
Power user of all Adobe product with a focus on Premier, After Effects, Audition, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
A desire to learn new workflows and add insight into the post-production processes.
Proficient user of either Mac or PC workstation computers.
Creative thinker, who is an assertive problem solver with an analytical mind.
One to three years of professional video production experience
Pay: Negotiable salary (annual pay is dependent on each applicant’s work experience and qualifications)
